The journey that led us to this very moment all started with the purchase of a house in 2018. Little did I know that purchasing my first home would lead to years of painstaking research that opened my eyes to the lies we live daily. By design of course. The original lender sold my mortgage to a 3rd party. Several months later, that note was sold to Fannie Mae. Having understood the gravity of the housing market bubble and collapse of 2007-08, I was concerned about my mortgage being brokered into Fannie Mae’s portfolio. Calling Fannie Mae seemed like the right thing since I wanted to make sure my family wasn’t going to fall victim to the inevitable fraud taking place in the mortgage market. I had no clue what I was doing or what I was going to find but I knew enough to make some waves.
The information I got from Fannie Mae not only surprised me but forced me to question everything I thought I knew about how the government, loans, taxes, or anything else worked for that matter. I spent the next several years reading and researching federal statutes, cross referencing them with my state statutes, the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) as well as reading everything I could about banks and the relevant statutes that regulate them. What I learned changed my life in a most unexpected way but for the best.
I immediately started sharing this information with my family and friends. To no surprise, most of it fell on skeptical ears even though I only used statutes and Supreme Court opinions to describe what was, undoubtedly, the most incredible information that the vast majority of human kind had ever heard. Regardless of how the information was received, I kept digging, reading, and researching, further proving what I already knew to be fact. We were taught the most inconvenient and painful way to live our lives. Paycheck to paycheck while giving away a large portion of our hard earned money to the IRS. Leaving us left with little in our bank accounts (if anything), at the end of the month and nothing to do but put in more time at work, away from your family, so you can still be broke at the end of the month. Well, the truth is, that’s not the only solution.
